13. What to do when I get an error message on "weak pulse signals"?

  • Incorrect wearing positions can cause weak pulse signals; Re-wear (see “Wearing
    procedure“ in the User's Manual and re-test (also see figures below)

  • Occasionally, some patients do exhibit very weak pulses or rapid heartbeats (re-
    wearing and re-testing still fails); It is advisable to allow these patients to calm
    down for a re-test

(1) Correct wearing (device centered)
(2) Incorrect wearing (device leaned to left)
(3) Correct wearing (cuff at palm edge)
(4) Incorrect wearing (cuff away from palm)

Note: always pull the cuff tight and do not
leave any space between wrist and cuff.  
This is especially important if the patient's
wrist is small and thin.
